Music should be cathartic. Music should be a party. Joy and the Wildfire puts on a show that makes you dance and cry at the same time. Drawing on a wide range of influences from new wave to 90s R&B, Joy and the Wildfire collages ideas from the past to express the experience of the present. With original songs by Samantha Joy Pearlman and Andrew Fox, the music cuts through otherwise filtered lives. Their debut album is set to be released in 2024, produced by Jonathan Jetter of Right Angle Recording. Joy and the Wildfire grew out of Samantha Joy Pearlman’s solo project. Her songs have been featured on the BMI #MusicMonday Playlist; her debut record had over 160 backers on Kickstarter. They toured the Northeast in the summer of 2023, have played esteemed venues like Rockwood Music Hall, The Bitter End, The Wonder Bar and Empire Live.
