Iceblynk
Iceblynk was formed in the Summer of 2019 by guitarist Martin Newman, vocalist Andrea Lynn and bassist James Newman. They immediately began working on music that encompassed elements of their many influences, ranging from the Cure, Lush and The Sundays to more modern artists such as Melody’s Echo Chamber and Beach House. After releasing their debut single “Spared” (aka Seared), they followed up with their self-titled EP and began hitting stages around NYC. The EP, which featured singles “Tragic” & “Seen Gone” garnered airplay around the country and regular spins on internet radio stations such as DKFM.
In 2022, Iceblynk, recruited drummer Adam Sadowsky and took a trip to Boston to record a couple of songs at Mystic Valley Studios, an all analog studio owned and ran by American Nightmare drummer Alex Garcia-Rivera.
September 2023, will see Iceblynk release their first single from the sessions, ‘Enter the Sky’ on 5BC, the record label formed by shoegaze legends the Veldt. ‘Enter the Sky’ expands on Iceblynk’s dreampop/ shoegaze infused indie sounds. Layering a swirl of guitars atop a bed of post punk drums and bass underlying Andrea’s distinctive vocal melodies.
As the band launches ‘Enter the Sky’ they continue to write and record
tracks for an upcoming full-length due out in 2024.
