Over the years, the members of Autopolitan have been seen performing in such bands as Cloud Nothings, Joey Sprinkles, and Herzog, among others. But when this trio comes together as Autopolitan, they become better than the sum of their already-impressive parts: Their bleary-eyed impressionist post-punk / alternative amalgam is a perfect soundtrack to anxiety-fueled late nights spent in unusual places. Currently in support of their 2nd LP, "Around Ways" (out 9/19), the band has taken even further leaps towards their initial vision; peripheral, instinctual, and succinctly vague in it's attempt at ditching second thought and tapping into something more cerebral than literal.
